What is Jeton?

Jeton is a digital wallet with an account for each currency. You load it by bank transfer, card or a local method of your country and pay the bookmaker from the balance, so the bookmaker never sees your bank or card details. Payouts come back into the wallet, and from there you send them to your bank. A Jeton Card, virtual or physical, spends the balance directly.

The wallet is run by LA Orange Limited, trading as Jeton, from offices at The Shard in London. The company is on the register of the UK Financial Conduct Authority under number 902088, as an e-money agent of Financial House Limited (number 902039). Jeton says it has more than a million users and connects to more than 25 countries and 50 payment methods, most of them in Europe.

Two other products carry the name. JetonCash is a prepaid voucher that loads the wallet, listed on the fee page as a free deposit of €5 to €250. Jetonbank is a separate digital bank, Jeton Bank Limited, licensed in Dominica. Bookmakers accept the wallet, which is what this page is about.

How to open a Jeton account

  1. Sign up on jeton.com or in the app. You need an e-mail address, a mobile number, your name and date of birth. Jeton accounts are for adults only.
  2. Verify your identity. Jeton asks for a photo of your passport or driving licence and a selfie, sometimes a proof of address. A person reviews every file, which takes about two business days, and the account cannot be used before.
  3. Choose the currencies with care. Keep the balance in the currency of your bookmakers: the exchange is instant, but the rate and the fee change with the day and the currency pair and are only shown when you confirm.
  4. Load the wallet. A manual bank transfer with the reference Jeton gives you is free; a card costs 3.5%, PayPal is free in pounds but 6.5% in euros. The card or account must be in your name.
  5. Pay the bookmaker. Choose Jeton in the cashier, log in with your User ID, e-mail or phone number and confirm. The money is on your betting account at once.

What it costs

Between Jeton and the bookmaker there is no fee on Jeton’s side, and most bookmakers add none. The costs sit in the wallet: loading it by card and changing currency. Jeton publishes a different fee list for each country; the figures below are the rows for pound and euro accounts.

Fees read on 19 October 2026 on the fee page of jeton.com (GBP and EUR rows) and on the Jeton help centre. The methods change with the country selected on the page: Poland loads by Blik and Sweden by Swish, both free. Select your country before you open the account.

Two ways to pay less

Load the wallet by manual bank transfer, not by card, and keep the balance in the currency of your bookmakers. A bettor who loads £1,000 by card pays £35 before placing a bet; the same amount sent from a bank account costs nothing.

Deposit and withdrawal times

Deposits are instant once the wallet holds the money: card and PayPal loads are immediate, a manual bank transfer into Jeton takes up to one business day. Withdrawals take as long as the bookmaker needs to approve them, from minutes to a few days; once released, the payout appears in the wallet without a bank in between.

From Jeton to your bank, requests are processed Monday to Friday and the money typically takes 48 hours to arrive; weekend requests wait until Monday. The account must be in your own name and the wallet fully verified.

Where you can use it

Jeton opens accounts in most countries and publishes a fee list for 19 of them, plus one for the rest of Europe and one for all other countries. Whether you can bet with it depends on the bookmaker’s licence and on the law of your country.

Whatever the country, the money must come from a card or account in your own name: Jeton treats a deposit from someone else’s as fraud and can suspend the account.

Jeton and welcome bonuses

Check the bonus terms first

Some bookmakers exclude first deposits made with e-wallets, Jeton among them, from their welcome offer. If the terms list Jeton among the excluded methods, make the first deposit by card or bank transfer and use Jeton from the second one.

Questions and answers

Is Jeton free to use with bookmakers?

Paying a bookmaker from the wallet carries no fee on Jeton’s side, and most bookmakers add none. You pay when you load the wallet by card (3.5%) or by PayPal in euros (6.5%), and whenever you change currency, at a rate and fee Jeton shows only when you confirm. A manual bank transfer into the wallet is free.

How long does a Jeton withdrawal from a bookmaker take?

As long as the bookmaker takes to approve it, usually from a few minutes to a couple of days. Once released, the payout is in the wallet. Sending it on to your bank takes about 48 hours, Monday to Friday, and the fee for that step depends on your country.

Can I fund Jeton with a credit card to bet?

In the United Kingdom and Australia no: credit cards cannot be used for online gambling, even through a wallet. Elsewhere Jeton accepts cards only in some countries, charges between 2.5% and 5% on the load depending on the country (3.5% in pounds and euros) and insists the card is in your name.

Do Jeton deposits count for the welcome bonus?

Not always. Some bookmakers exclude e-wallets from the first-deposit offer. Read the payment clause of the bonus terms before you deposit, and use another method for the first deposit if Jeton is excluded.

Is Jeton safe?

LA Orange Limited, which runs Jeton from London, is on the UK Financial Conduct Authority register under number 902088 as an e-money agent of Financial House Limited, the firm that issues the Jeton Card account. Every account is identity-checked before use, and the bookmaker never sees your bank or card details.
