How vouchers work at a bookmaker

You buy the voucher for cash at a shop, a kiosk or a post office, or by card from an online reseller, and receive a PIN of 10 to 20 digits. In the cashier you choose the voucher, type the PIN and the amount is on the betting account at once. The bookmaker gets no card number and no bank account, which is the point.

The limit is the way back. A plain voucher cannot receive money, so winnings go to another method, usually a bank transfer in your name; Paysafecard and Neosurf let bookmakers pay into the provider’s account instead, which you open with the same identity check as a wallet. The second limit is the amount: Paysafecard caps a payment at €50 with a bare code and €1,000 with the account, and the others publish limits of the same order.

Vouchers cost nothing to spend, but they cost to keep: Paysafecard charges €4 a month on a code older than 30 days, Flexepin €2.50 a month after the use-by date, and all of them charge a fee to refund an unused code. Buy what you will deposit, and deposit it.

Questions and answers

Which voucher do most bookmakers accept?

Paysafecard, in 31 of the 65 cashiers on this site; Neosurf is in 8, Flexepin in 4 and CashtoCode in 2.

Can I withdraw winnings to a voucher?

Not to the code. Paysafecard and Neosurf accept payouts into their account products, where the bookmaker offers it; otherwise the bookmaker pays by bank transfer or to an e-wallet in your name.

Do voucher deposits qualify for the welcome bonus?

Usually yes, since a voucher cannot be cashed out without a bet. Some operators still exclude them; the payment clause of the offer says so.
